A New Year

How did we get to the end of 2010 so quickly? It was a year that most of my friends would think I'd rather forget. But strangely enough, it was a year of tremendous growth for me and I would go through it all again if it means being this close to my Heavenly Father. I've learned to keep my eyes on Him. To receive love from Him and to give love through Him. To feel His spirit wrap me in love and comfort me. Give me peace and joy and contentment. I've still got a lot to learn as I die to self and grow into His likeness. But I'm genuinely excited to see what this New Year holds for me. I am blessed and happy and ready for God's promises to be fulfilled through me. I know that He has great things in store for me and I am ready to let go and let Him use me.

2 Corinthians Chapter 5: 14-21

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

God, may we all be reconciled to you and raised up in your power to become your righteousness. Let this New Year be the year that we die to ourselves and allow you to live through us. May the way I live my life reflect you in every moment and bring others to your throne. I love you Oh Lord my strength. Amen
